Step 1: Online Registration
  • Click on Sign In and to register on website Click on Register Button, by filling Email ID, Mobile Number and Name (Spellings of Name must be same as in Class-X marksheet/certificate).
  • Mobile Number will be the Login ID and Password will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number through SMS.
  • Candidate can change the password, if he/she desires.
  • Candidate will be able to Login to the admission portal by using the password in all future visits to this portal.
  • Pay Processing Fee of Rs. 200/- (General Category) and Rs. 100/- (SC/ST Category) online before the final submission of application form. Note down the transaction number generated.
  • Payment verification will take maximum upto 24 hours.
Step 2: Login to apply for courses
  • Login to the Online Admission Portal with the registered user id and password.
  • Candidate applying for the courses will click on the link Apply for Joint D.El.Ed Admission in the following institutes.
  • Instruction page will be displayed once the candidate selects the Course.
  • Read the rules and regulations thoroughly before filling the Application form.
  • The filled application form will be displayed to the candidate.

Step 3: Filling Online Application Form

1. Applicant will have to fill details in various columns as required.
2.  For admission, candidates will have to submit preference of institutes. Based on preference, seat will be allotted on merit. Change of order of preference of institute (after the submission of form) is not allowed at any stage.
3. Tick mark the reserved category, if any, and upload the valid supporting documents showing the name of the applicant. Certificates issued in the name of parents will not be valid. If the applicant has not tick marked on the specific reserved category, he/she cannot claim the seat in that category at the time of admission.
4. Applicant must fill working Email ID (compulsory) and Email IDs of the parents(optional).
5. Applicant must fill his/her Mobile Number and the parents Telephone Number/Mobile Number as well as his/her adhaar number and residence address .
6. For admission, fraction of marks less than the requisite percentage will not be rounded off to the advantage of the applicants i.e. 32.9%, 39.9% and 49.9% will not be rounded off to 33%, 40% and 50% respectively.
7. The full name of the Board/University from which the last examination has been passed is to be given e.g. Panjab University instead of PU.
8. Applicant will be able to view and can modify the information before the last date of submission of the online application form. No modification will be possible after the last date of submission.
9. Applicant should note the Application Form Number generated after online form submission.
10. Application form submitted after due date or incomplete in any respect will not be accepted.
11. The declaration given in the admission form should be digitally signed both by applicant and his/her Parent/Guardian.

Step 4: Upload Scanned Certificates/Testimonials, Photograph and Signature

1. One set of scanned original testimonials/certificates of the following should be uploaded (in pdf format only, not more than 200kb) with the admission form:
  • Matriculation Certificate for Date of Birth.
  • University/ Board DMC of the lower examination.
  • Character Certificate from the institution last attended or from a Gazetted Officer in case of private candidates.
  • Gap Year Certificate, if any Gap in continuous study (Specimen of the form is given at the end of the Prospectus)
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Physically Challenged Persons/ Sports/ Defence/ Freedom Fighter’s Ward.
  • Sports Gradation Certificate issued by Sports Department of the respective State/UT only, will be accepted.
  • Equivalent Certificate from Panjab University of the qualifying examination passed by the applicant (where required).
2. Applicants are also required to upload:
  • Scanned passport size photo of the applicant in jpeg format (not more than 50kb).
  • Scanned signature of the applicant in jpeg format (not more than 50kb).
  • Scanned signature of either of the Parent/ Guardian in jpeg format (not more than 50kb).

Other important instructions

  • The admission will be based on merit, which will be calculated on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination.
  • Weightage, wherever applicable, would be given as per Chandigarh Administration norms.
  • Before filling the application form, candidate must read the prospectus by clicking on the link Download Prospectus here.
  • No separate communication will be sent to the applicants regarding Online Admission Schedule and all the information/updates will be available on the Online Admission Portal.


A. Qualification
  • The candidates should have passed Bachelor’s Degree i.e. B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. or equivalent Bachelor’s Degree from any recognised University.
  • Minimum percentage of marks is 50% at graduation level, 5% relaxation for SC and ST candidates i.e. 45%. (Note: 49.99% or 44.99% will not be rounded off to 50% or 45% and will not be considered eligible)
B. Age Limit
  • There is no age limit for students taking admission to D.El.Ed. Course.
C. Reservation of Seats
  • UT Pool: 85% of Total Seats of the institution will be filled up from amongst the students who have passed their qualifying examination from Colleges recognised by Chandigarh Administration and situated in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, as a regular student of the said institute and students of Department of Evening Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh subject to the condition that such student must have studied for the last two years of Graduation (II and III years, if course is of three years duration) in Chandigarh. (Proof to be uploaded as the specimen given in the prospectus).
  • NON-UT POOL: 15% of Total Seats The remaining 15% seats will be filled from amongst the students who have passed their qualifying examination from the institutions other than those located in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, Correspondence Courses from Panjab University Chandigarh and as private candidates. These seats will be termed as Non-UT Pool.
